Weather
My interest in weather dates as far back as I can remember. I was trying to build weather stations when I was about 7 or 8 years old and I was demanding that my dad read me very advanced level weather books when I was about the same age.
Just before I turned 13 I finally got a weather station: a Davis Weather Wizard III that’s been faithfully serving me data here in Huntington, IN, USA for 6.5 years now with only one part replacement when the anemometer intermittently stopped sending data a few years ago.
My current technology set-up does not allow me to post live/semi-live data to the Internet, but I do have daily data reports that can be found at Bouma-Holtrop.com/jimmy2/blogstuff/weather.
Soon I hope to buy a Davis Vantage Pro2 weather station with WeatherLinkIP so that I can upload data every 10 minutes 24/7 without the use of a computer, but that’s probably won’t happen for at least another few seasons.
For now my trusty Weather Wizard III is humming away day in and day out and delivering me data tirelessly.
